By downloading, installing, or using the Saywell application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

The Saywell app provides language speaking practice that may allow you to:

  • Complete pronunciation drills with live speech feedback and word matching
  • Assess and set your CEFR speaking level for each language you practice
  • Practice scenario-based topics such as meetings, travel, interviews, and daily conversation
  • Track practice sessions, streaks, and language progress over time
  • Access AI conversation practice and premium features where offered
  • Receive remote practice content updates without requiring a full app update

The App is for personal educational and language-practice purposes. It does not provide professional language certification, medical advice, or guaranteed fluency outcomes.

3. User Accounts and Data

  • The App may require account creation for certain features
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Practice progress and preferences may be stored locally on your device
  • Some features may sync data to our servers if you use account or cloud features
  • We do not guarantee data recovery in case of device loss or app uninstallation

4. Voice, Microphone, and AI Features

  • Pronunciation drills require microphone access for speech recognition
  • Speech is used to provide practice feedback; accuracy may vary by device, accent, and environment
  • AI conversation features may send prompts or transcripts to backend services to generate responses
  • Do not use the App to record others without their consent where required by law

5. Subscriptions and Credits

  • Premium features, subscriptions, or credit packs may be offered through in-app purchases
  • Prices, billing periods, and included features are shown in the App and store listing
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings
  • Use Restore Purchases after reinstalling or switching devices where applicable

6. Privacy and Third-Party Services

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The App may integrate with services such as:

  • Firebase (Google) for analytics, authentication, and messaging
  • Adapty for subscription and purchase management
  • Sentry for error monitoring
  • Speech recognition and AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy

7. Disclaimers and Limitations

  • The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law
  • We do not guarantee specific speaking scores, level placements, or real-world language outcomes
  • Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law
  • Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or in-app purchases in the twelve (12) months before the claim, if any

8. Updates and Termination

  • We may release updates to improve functionality, content, and security
  • We may modify these Terms; continued use after changes may constitute acceptance where permitted by law
  • You may stop using the App at any time; uninstalling may remove local data
