1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Unping application ("App") from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Your use of the App is also subject to the applicable store terms, including Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, or Google Play's Terms of Service, which govern downloads, in-app purchases, and subscriptions.

2. Description of Service

Unping is a breakup recovery and no-contact tracker that helps you stay strong without texting, calling, or checking in on your ex. The App may allow you to:

  • Track how long you have maintained no contact with a live day, hour, and minute counter
  • Use Panic mode — a timed pause with breathing prompts before you reach out
  • Write unsent drafts to vent safely without sending messages
  • Complete daily check-ins with optional notes on mood and triggers
  • Log slips honestly and review trigger patterns over time
  • Chat with an in-app breakup coach that provides supportive, rule-based guidance stored on your device
  • Receive optional daily check-in reminder notifications at a time you choose
  • Upgrade to Unping Pro for unlimited drafts, full history, and premium features

The App is for personal self-help and wellness purposes. It is not a medical device, therapy, counseling, or crisis service. If you are in crisis, please contact a mental health professional or local emergency services.

3. App Store, Google Play & Device Requirements

  • The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play
  • You must comply with applicable store review guidelines and platform usage rules
  • Check-in reminders require notification permission when you enable them during onboarding or in settings
  • The App does not send SMS, iMessage, email, or social messages on your behalf
  • The App does not look up ex contact information, scrape social profiles, or provide stalking features

4. Accounts and Data

  • Unping does not require email, Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, or password registration
  • There is no sign-in screen; a Firebase anonymous account may be created in the background to support subscriptions and device records
  • No-contact counters, unsent drafts, check-ins, slip logs, coach conversations, and preferences are stored primarily on your device
  • You are responsible for maintaining your device and backups where applicable
  • We do not guarantee recovery of local data after uninstalling the App or resetting your device
  • You may request deletion of server-side records — see our Support & Data Deletion page

5. User Content

  • Unsent drafts, check-in notes, slip logs, and coach messages are created by you and stored locally in the current version of the App
  • You are responsible for the content you write in the App
  • Do not use the App to harass, threaten, or stalk another person
  • We do not monitor, publish, or send your private journal content on your behalf

6. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

Unping Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing:

  • unping_pro_monthly — monthly subscription
  • unping_pro_yearly — annual subscription, which may include a free trial period as shown in the App

Optional credit packs may also be offered for premium features:

  • unping_basic_100
  • unping_standard_500
  • unping_premium_1000
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price shown in the App
  • On iOS, manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
  • On Android, manage subscriptions in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
  • Use Restore Purchases on the paywall or in Settings after reinstalling or switching devices
  • Free trials convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to store policies

7. Privacy and Third-Party Services

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The App may integrate with services such as:

  • Firebase (Google) for anonymous authentication, analytics, remote configuration, messaging, and cloud records
  • Adapty for App Store and Google Play subscription and purchase management
  • Sentry for crash and error monitoring
  • Apple and Google platform frameworks for notifications and billing

On iOS, App Tracking Transparency may be presented before analytics that could be used for tracking across apps and websites owned by other companies.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

  • The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law
  • We do not guarantee that you will maintain no contact, recover from a breakup, or achieve specific emotional outcomes
  • Apple and Google are not responsible for the App or its content except as required by applicable law
  • Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law
  • Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or in-app purchases in the twelve (12) months before the claim, if any

9. Updates and Termination

  • We may release updates to improve recovery tools, security, and platform compatibility
  • We may modify these Terms; continued use after changes may constitute acceptance where permitted by law
  • You may stop using the App at any time; uninstalling removes local data unless backed up elsewhere
