1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Facemint application ("App") from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Your use of the App is also subject to the applicable store terms, including Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, or Google Play's Terms of Service, which govern downloads, in-app purchases, and subscriptions.

2. Description of Service

Facemint is an AI photo editor for portraits and selfies. The App may allow you to:

  • Apply Natural Fix and manual retouching (skin, under-eyes, teeth, definition, light) on your device
  • Apply AI Retakes (for example a natural smile or open eyes), Looks, and AI Edits written in your own words
  • Compare before and after, undo edits, and save or share the result
  • Receive optional reminders and tips
  • Upgrade to Facemint Pro or buy credit packs for AI edits, HD saves, and no watermark

AI-generated content. AI edits are created by AI models and may be inaccurate, unexpected, or imperfect, and may not perfectly preserve the likeness of the person in the photo. Edited photos must not be presented in a way that misleads others about a real person or event.

3. App Store, Google Play & Device Requirements

  • The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play
  • You must comply with applicable store review guidelines and platform usage rules
  • AI edits require an internet connection; on-device retouching does not
  • Taking photos requires camera permission; picking and saving photos requires photo library permission
  • Optional notifications require notification permission when you enable them
  • We do not guarantee the availability, speed, or quality of every AI edit, which depends on third-party AI providers and your network

4. Accounts and Data

  • Facemint does not require email, Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, or password registration
  • There is no sign-in screen; a Firebase anonymous account is created in the background to support credits, subscriptions, AI edit jobs, and device records
  • Photos uploaded for AI edits are deleted from our servers right after the edit (within 24 hours at most) and are never used to train AI models
  • AI edit results are kept on our servers for up to 3 days, then deleted; your edit history is stored on your device
  • We do not guarantee recovery of local data after uninstalling the App or resetting your device
  • You can delete your data at any time in Settings → Delete my data, or see our Support & Data Deletion page

5. Photos, Prompts, Consent & Acceptable Use

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the App
  • Only edit photos of yourself or of adults who have given you permission to use their photo
  • Do not upload photos of minors, celebrities, public figures, or anyone without their consent for AI edits
  • Do not upload or prompt for nude, sexual, violent, hateful, or otherwise unlawful content
  • Do not use edited photos to impersonate, harass, deceive, or defame anyone, or to create misleading deepfakes
  • You keep your rights to the photos and prompts you provide and may use edited photos for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to the AI providers' terms
  • We and our AI providers may refuse or block edits that appear to violate these rules; blocked requests do not use credits

6. Subscriptions, Credits & In-App Purchases

Facemint Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing:

  • Pro Weekly — $6.99 per week (USD; local prices are shown in the App), includes 12 credits every week
  • Pro Yearly — $39.99 per year (USD; local prices are shown in the App), includes 20 credits every 30 days; may include a 3-day free trial with a limited number of credits, after which the subscription renews at the yearly price unless cancelled
  • Credit packs — one-time purchases that add 20, 50, or 120 credits to your balance
  • Each AI edit shows its credit cost before you apply it; credits for failed edits, and for edits that do not keep your likeness after a retry, are refunded automatically
  • Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and are non-refundable once purchased except as required by store policies; subscription credits may not carry over after the subscription ends
  • Free users may get one free AI edit; saves without Pro include a watermark
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price shown in the App
  • On iOS, manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
  • On Android, manage subscriptions in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
  • Use Restore Purchases on the paywall or in Settings after reinstalling or switching devices
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to store policies

7. Privacy and Third-Party Services

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The App may integrate with services such as:

  • Firebase and Google Cloud for anonymous authentication, app integrity, analytics, remote configuration, messaging, cloud functions, storage, cloud records, and content safety checks
  • Google ML Kit for on-device face detection
  • AI model providers (fal.ai, running Google Gemini image models) to create AI edits
  • Adapty for App Store and Google Play subscription and purchase management
  • Sentry for crash and error monitoring

On iOS, App Tracking Transparency may be presented before analytics that could be used for tracking across apps and websites owned by other companies.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

  • The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law
  • We do not guarantee that edited photos will look a certain way or meet your expectations
  • You are responsible for how you use and share edited photos
  • Apple and Google are not responsible for the App or its content except as required by applicable law
  • Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law
  • Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or in-app purchases in the twelve (12) months before the claim, if any

9. Updates and Termination

  • We may release updates to add edits, improve result quality, security, and platform compatibility
  • We may change the AI models used, edit catalog, or credit costs; costs are always shown before you apply an edit
  • We may modify these Terms; continued use after changes may constitute acceptance where permitted by law
  • We may suspend access for users who violate the acceptable use rules above
  • You may stop using the App at any time; uninstalling removes local data unless backed up elsewhere
